Basic Requirements

• The borrower must be at least 18 years old.
• The borrower must show commitment and ability to repay on time.
• The borrower must be an Iraqi citizen.
• The borrower should have an active project for more than 10 months if they are the group leader. Other group members may have existing projects, need financing, or want to start a new project depending on their case.

Additional Requirements For Group Loans

• The group must include at least three members and no more than eight members.
• All group members should be from the same neighborhood, preferably within 20 minutes walking distance from each other.
• All group members should know each other well and the group should be self-selected.
• First-degree relatives should not be in the same group.
• Exceptions apply only when relatives live separately, with limits for second-degree relatives.
• Group members are responsible for each other.
• Startup loans are limited and handled case by case, especially for women's participation programs.
• Loan renewal depends on successful completion and is not automatic.
• The loan amount should be distributed equally among group members.
